106 hectare preserved farm on Rio de Contas, Itacare

This large stretch of land is an incredibly rare opportunity in the unspoiled mountains of rural Itacare, in the region of Taboquinhas. Most of the land is preserved Atlantic Rainforest. A portion of the farm produces cocoa, coconut, coffee, dende and a wide variety of fruit.

It has roughly 800 meters that borders an undeveloped stretch along the Rio de Contas, including a small, preserved island. There is an inlet on the near side of the island on the Rio de contas with very calm waters, perfect for building a dock for keeping a boat.

The property has access by asfalt along the recently paved road to Taboquinhas, a region famous for cacao plantations. It is roughly 20 minutes from the center of Itacare by car, and around 10 minutes by boat, depending on the conditions.

Tourism is growing here because of its natural, undeveloped beauty, and its proximity to Itacare. This includes agro-tourism, white water rafting, kayaking, meditation and yoga retreats, and much more.

The farm is wired for electricity throughout, however, it lost the main transformer at the entrance to the property, and since the previous owner passed a few years ago it was never replaced.
